I am a member of ebay?

I have been trying to post ads but have been told ebay will contact me by automated telephone in order to confirm my identity, when the automated call comes i am told to press a number, then get cut off, so annoying, , any ads posted do not appear, please help.
I have tried other methods of identity none of which work.

You put the number into your ebay account, not the phone!

• I am also on ebay and have never heard of this but then they did recently send me an e-mail to say that they've updated their security checks, maybe this is one of them
