Starting an online forum ??

Me and my friend are going to start our own online forum. We aim to discuss social, spiritual, psychological, and technological issues. Any advice?

promote your forum on other, relevant forums- be careful though, you don't want to get kicked off for spamming! You can also promote your forum by setting up a group on facebook, and publicise it through Twitter.
Why not answer relevant questions on Yahoo Answers- this will give you credibilty amongst your target audience.
