What is the best way to distribute leaflets to promote a company?

what is the best way to distribute flyers or leaflets to promote a company?

I have just set up anew web design business and SEO marketing and looking for ideas as to how to distribute my leaflets, i thought of distributing them to car boot sales and doing courses via business link which would give me the opportunity to meet other new businesses, tried blogging, social networking to no avail, and advertising via ads is very expensive to say the least so looking for cheaper ways.

any ideas would be greatly appreciated

As a rule, leaflets are too generalist for effective marketing. Do you know who your target market is? Is your leaflet aimed specifically at that target market?

Working with Business Link may be a way of reaching new businesses. Try other business networking groups such as BNI, BRX, Business 4 Breakfast. The only thing with them is that they restrict membership to one company in each industry and many of them already have web designers. Look out for new groups starting up and be the first web designer to join.
